the permission principle

Our programs are geared toward increasing our permission with others. Permission can be defined as how receptive others are to us and our message. The more permission we have, the easier things are. Sales get made, contracts get signed, and we’re more efficient, effective and successful. If we don’t know what nonverbal cues to look for, we inadvertently cross the invisible line of permission. This costs us credibility, effectiveness, and eventually long-term success. Nonverbal communication assists us in reading permission levels so we are able to avoid crossing the line. client quote

“Our managers walked away with a new approach to working with the wide variety of personalities available here at Lane Powell and in their own lives. There was plenty of substance to the meeting, but it also was light-hearted - something we all needed given the stresses of the season. I personally appreciated the role-playing, and have already used the 3-point communication technique. It really made a positive difference.”
